That's My Story ..
When I was on an airplane heading to the Canary Islands for a vacation in 2005, I sat next to Isolde. She was an eye expert for almost 20 years. We started to chat. Isolde was on her way to holding a seminar about eyes. At one point, she called my glasses 'seeing-aid'.
This 'seeing aid' got me deeply. I resented having those glasses. I realized that I didn't want to be dependent on that dreadful „seeing-aid". And one more thing. I wanted and want to always be able to read my menu without glasses.
Sounds strange?
- If I am able to read my menu ...
- I can do my work as an IT project manager ...
- I am able continue to work on my spreadsheets and plans for up to 7 or 8 hours every day.
That needs a compensation - and I found it.
It is a combination of well-being and resilience for eyes and back/neck/shoulders. That came together just naturally form all the different bits and parts I discovered though my life.
It forms my beloved routine to keep my eyes and body ready to do the work in front of the screen.

One of the challenges of being fifty-six and working remotely is eye strain. I often spend 8-10 hours a day online. So when I met Sabine Nagl at an audio event on LinkedIn I was intrigued with what she does. Weak eyes are a problem for me and I have been wearing glasses from age five onwards. My eyes have multiple issues: stigmatism, nearsighted in one eye and farsighted in the other and extreme difference in eye strength between the two eyes. When I found out about Sabine's eye trainings, I was mostly concerned about immediate eye health issues such as constantly burning eyes, floaters in my field of view and eye strain that regularly led my optometrist to warn me that retina detachment was imminent. I use Sabine's eye training relaxation at various times of the day and exercise my eyes so that the strain of working most of the day on a screen with single focus was mitigated. Each exercise is simple and doesn't take much time to do. I want to continue using the exercises until they become routine throughout the day. I am noticing that my vision has improved and I likely need to get a lower prescription for my glasses. What is most exciting to me is that I thought there was nothing a person could do about weak eyes and eye strain, Sabine's training has given me a window into health that I didn't know existed. I look to ongoing improvements to my eye health!
